Moon

In love I came late, your my moon,
Full and whole, a completeness you give me.
Then, it follows, I am to be your Sun
Unbearable at times and so often absent.
Not to place my self as the life giving light,
Merely to place myself with you.
At night, it should be dark
But you illuminate with silver light.
You turn up, an unexpected gift
A day time moon turns heads.
So, Moon, you are full
So, love, I came late to you
But in time you arrived
To love my, to lighten my, life.
