Dear Stephen

This might seem strange to you, but I am writing this letter to you from the future, nine years in the future. We are twenty three now, and you wont believe the changes that have happened, and the changes that haven’t.

We are still friends with everyone you are friends with now, so at least your doing something right there, good job. Soon, you will discover that girlfriends can be more entertaining than friends, this is fine, but don’t put all your eggs in one basket, and if you decide you must, at least be nicer to the basket.

Save your money, you will need it. Drugs and drink are on the horizon, avoid them as much as you can, they don’t help.

Family is important, find ways to be with them more. Focus on your school work, it is important.

Dance at every opportunity, sing, keep playing guitar, writing, drawing and being creative. Stop taking the easy way out, its about to get a hell of a lot tougher so that will be hard, moneys going to dry up and its going to get colder. Play more sports, walk with your head up and don’t worry about what others think of you.

Will your reading this change our life? Am I creating a paradox? I don’t know, but if things change because of this and my universe ends, then the new one you will move into… I cant prepare you for it. I would just say, be strong, hold on and whatever world you find yourself in dress provocatively.

Yours Sincerely

Stephen
